Let’s skip universes for a second and see what Harry Osborn is up to in the Ultimate Spider-Man verse! He’s still going up against the Maker’s Council and still teamed up with Spider-Man. And there are very much some shades of grey about him. The main plot point of USM #6 is MJ learning of… Read More Harry Osborn in Ultimate Spider-Man #6
Following on from issue #3! Not a lot happens this issue in terms of supervillains, fights etc, but we get a long and interesting conversation between Harry, Peter, MJ and the newly introduced Gwen Stacy! Let’s take a look: Harry and Gwen are happily married, with no kids Gwen has kept her last name, as… Read More The Harry-related takeaways from Ultimate Spider-Man #4
Harry gets political in this little arc from late 1972. Now interestingly, this story is an adapted version of the one which appears in Spectacular Spider-Man Magazine #1 which came out in 1968. Plenty of things were edited to make it fit in with the 1972 Spider-Man continuity, such as taking out George Stacy (him… Read More Amazing Spider-Man #116 – #118: The Raleigh arc
Gerry Conway is writing Amazing Spider-Man now! Under his pen we’ll see the deaths of both Gwen Stacy and Norman Osborn… but not just yet. Let’s take a look at what Harry gets up to in these issues. I have remained mostly unspoiled for Spider-Man despite the deliberate antics of some inconsiderate people on Tumblr. Hopefully, my pre-ordered game should arrive tomorrow and then I can get to sharing my thoughts on how the game portrays Harry! But until then… I have a few theories on some of the things we might see… Read More Some last-minute Spider-Man 2 predictions
This is an interesting but fairly insubstantial comic from Gerry Conway, aka the guy who killed Gwen in the first place, and Jody Houser. I really like the art by Ramon Bachs, but the story is just a little thin, and also not really all that dark. Peter dies saving Gwen Stacy from her death… Read More Harry Osborn in What If? Dark: Spider-Gwen

I’ve been neglecting this blog of late because of my own mental health issues but I’m trying to get back into it again. Where better to start than the story arc where Harry gets out of rehab, I guess? Yep, ASM #105 is the first time we see Harry after his overdose. His appearance on… Read More Amazing Spider-Man #105-110: Harry Osborn Returns From Rehab (1972)
It is 1971 and a strict code mandates what can and cannot be depicted in comics. Think like… What Disney has going on at the moment except ten times worse. No swearing, no nudity, no defying authority, no zombies, no blood, no “sexual abnormalities”, no “sex perversion”, no sex at all in fact, no excessive… Read More Amazing Spider-Man #95-98: How Harry Osborn Changed Comics Forever
