J.M. Dematteis is back writing Harry!

I was really hoping Harry wouldn’t be forgotten in the 1000th issue of Amazing Spider-Man and it looks like he hasn’t been! J.M. DeMatteis, the man responsible for a lot of Harry’s character development in the 90s, is writing a story titled Requiem For a Goblin and Humbert Ramos is illustrating. Plot details are being kept strictly under wraps, all we have is the preview art of Green Goblin jumping out of a coffin, but that’s enough to get everyone excited right? Maybe this is a story about Harry’s death… or maybe it’s a story about him coming back to life.

More info can be found at AIPT Comics, including a snippet from JMD himself:

“I’ve spent many years in Peter Parker’s company—having lived so deep inside his head, I know him better than some of my closest friends—and I’m both delighted and honored to be a part of this landmark issue, revisiting the classic dynamic between Peter and Harry Osborn.”

And we know that DeMatteis has put a LOT of thought into that dynamic! The comic is out September 16th, I can’t wait.
