So! Where we left off, Harry had returned from the dead. Except, he wasn’t actually dead in the first place. Gwen, who is one of five people sharing the identity of Mysterio, made it look like he was dead. Now Harry and Gwensterio are going up the Sinister Six… but Gwen’s methods are slightly different than Harry’s.

Is it just me or does the person reflected in the Goblin mask on the front cover of the comic look a lot more like Norman than Harry?

Peter is still on the run and Harry’s eager to reunite with his old friend. He warns Ben that things are about to get serious, as if they weren’t already.
Whoa! Hold the phone! Robbie is another Mysterio!

And so is Wesley, Kingpin’s right-hand man!

Harry is still maintaining a secret science lab with Otto, this time in the basement of a grocery store.

Otto has the Goblin armor for Harry. Interesting that Harry refers to it as “Dad”, isn’t it? It’s like he’s walking around in his dad’s skin.

The AI Norman reacts to his son’s return from the dead exactly as you would expect Norman to. Coldly and abusively!

Notice how the face in the mask, again, looks a lot more like Norman than Harry…

That question is probably going to haunt Harry from here on in.
Flash forward to Harry and Gwen going out to battle, Norman’s voice still ringing in Harry’s ears. That can’t be good for the mental health.

Harry and Gwen attack a weapons factory owned by Mr Negative, one staffed by slaves.

During the fight, we get this groovy Mysterio-illusion samurai-style version of the Goblin.

Harry sets about rescuing people, and Norman frowns on that, because rescuing people is BENEATH HIM. What a piece of work he is.

Of course, Harry continues to save people anyway, because (as is the case in most continuities) he’s just not like Norman, no matter how his father attempts to mold him.

Imagine being saved by a guy who was saying “Shut up, Dad,” to something invisible. You’d be concerned for their mental health… So someone really needs to be concerned for Harry’s at this point, yeah? Putting an AI of Norman into his suit was a terrible, terrible idea.
Gwen blows up the Demon factory with little concern for who’s in there, and this horrifies Harry. We’ve gone from Peter being shocked at Harry’s harsh methods to Harry being shocked at Gwen’s.

Gwen rightly points out that Harry’s behavior hasn’t exactly been bloodless, either.

And now, back to Peter! (I’ve seen a few complaints that this last two issues of Spider-Man haven’t featured, well, very much actual Spider-Man. And I guess I kinda agree?) He gets a call and…

The dynamic duo is set to be reunited!

So now, it looks like Harry and Gwen will be able to keep Peter and his family safe while Peter returns to crimefighting in New York. But that Norman AI is going to cause trouble, right? Oh, you know it is.
“Come home, Peter… I need you.”
WE ARE SO BACK PARKSBORN NATION
