Yesterday, December 13, was Harry’s birthday! Alas, I was doing Important Social Christmas Things all day and forgot to throw an update this blog’s way. But I DID post a birthday gifset for Harry on tumblr. This one is comparing him to the main character of one of Shakespeare’s most famous tragedies, Hamlet. I had so much fun recontextualizing the lines. VENOM to thy work!
It was inspired by a moment in the Peter David Spider-Man 2 novelization, which is a great read for Harry fans, I highly recommend it.
Slowly, on shaky legs, Harry rose from the chair. The television had been the only illumination in the room; Harry had found the darkness to be of comfort. Now it seemed to be hiding something… some new intruder.
But there was no one there. He was sure of it. He walked to the door, looked outside the room. Still nothing.
