I have remained mostly unspoiled for Spider-Man despite the deliberate antics of some inconsiderate people on Tumblr. Hopefully, my pre-ordered game should arrive tomorrow and then I can get to sharing my thoughts on how the game portrays Harry! But until then… I have a few theories on some of the things we might see in the game. Here we go:

(these are most assuredly NOT spoilers, I repeat NOT SPOILERS, just guesses.)

Harry will die

I do not WANT him to die but let’s face it, he dies in everything. My feeling is, something has to push Norman into full-blown Goblinhood, what could do the job better? I do think he will have a heroic death though, maybe pulling a Raimiverse and sacrificing himself to save Peter’s life.

Peter and MJ will be broken up by the end of the game

I just have a feeling, based on the few snippets from the trailers of them interacting. But this won’t stop them from getting back together in the next game, of course.

May will make a post-death reappearance right when Peter needs her the most

She had such a big impact in the first game that I’ll be amazed if she doesn’t show up in a flashback or a dream sequence or a vision. Maybe her memory will be instrumental in getting Peter to shake off the symbiote?

Norman will have a bigger role in the game than we think

He’s barely been in the marketing so far but I feel like he’ll be a big player in the story. I also suspect that if there’s a post-credit scene (and there probably will be) it’ll be something involving Norman and the Goblin.

Everyone will get a turn with the symbiote

Symbiotes are fun for the whole family! Peter is getting a personality-warping turn with it of course, and Harry will become Venom, but I actually think Miles might be briefly consumed by the symbiote too in his quest to kill Mr Negative. No-one is going to be having a good time in this game.
